Elon Musk has said that he hopes to find a new CEO for Twitter by the end of 2023.
The current head of the social media company talked about why he bought Twitter and what he plans to do this year at the World Government Summit in Dubai on Wednesday. He did this through a video call.
Musk said that he wants to make sure Twitter is financially stable before looking for a new CEO. He had already said months ago that he planned to leave his position at some point.
When will Elon Musk find someone else to run Twitter?
Musk said that the end of the year would be a “good time” to find a new CEO.
He said, “I think I need to stabilise the organisation and make sure it’s doing well financially and that the product roadmap is clear.” “I think it will probably be before the end of the year. I think it would be a good idea to find someone else to run the business because I think it will be stable by the end of the year.”
Why does Elon Musk want to find a new CEO for Twitter?
Musk put up a poll on Twitter asking if he should step down as CEO and said he would follow the results. This was the start of the search for a new CEO.
More than 17.5 million people on Twitter voted to join the pool, and 57.5% of those votes were for “Yes.”
A few days later, Elon Musk said that he needed to find someone to take his place before he quit.
“I’ll quit my job as CEO as soon as I find someone stupid enough to take it!” Elon Musk sent a tweet.
