Donna Kelce

PHOENIX — Donna Kelce, the mother of Philadelphia Eagles centre Jason Kelce and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who made history by becoming the first siblings to ever compete against each other in the Super Bowl, was the most famous person in attendance for Opening Night of the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl 57 will be won by one of her sons, and lost by the other; that’s just the way the cookie will break. In the interim, however, she provided the brothers with something to nibble on.

As Donna Kelce joined her sons Jason and Travis Kelce on stage at Footprint Center, Michael Irvin remarked, “She comes with gifts.” The audience enthusiastically applauded.

While wearing her famous split jersey, Donna Kelce presented her sons with two Tupperware containers full of chocolate chip cookies, which they enthusiastically accepted.

“You are probably baking these cookies for these people for an indefinite amount of time. Irvin quipped that that was probably what made them so huge and prepared them for the NFL.

Donna Kelce described the experience of watching both of her boys make it to the Super Bowl as “wonderful.” “It’s incredible that they’ve both been able to get to this point in their careers and that they’ve been able to enjoy this Super Bowl together,” said the commentator.

She revealed that her strategy for the game on Sunday will be to “scream loudly every time someone gets the ball.”
