LG-XBOOM-Go

LG XBOOM GO. LG is a well-known company from South Korea that has been making consumer and home electronics for a long time. Their products, such as TVs, monitors, washing machines, refrigerators, and even laptops and computer systems, can be found in many shops that sell electronics.

This summer, LG showed off their new line of speakers called XBOOM. The LG XBOOM XG7QBK fits nicely in this range, and LG says it has “remarkable sound that delivers deep bass and powerful sound with LG’s latest sound technology.”

It looks great and is almost shaped like a cylinder. On the top, there are optical buttons for power, volume, play/pause, and turning on and off the Sound Boost feature.

Each end has a square diaphragm with an LED ring around it that flashes different colours to the music. I was disappointed to find out that I couldn’t change the lights, but I was also impressed by how the lights and design worked together. The XBOOM app can be used to control the lights. It is easy to use and works well.

The speaker has been made to be very portable. It weighs only 1.1kg and is just over 26cm long, with a height and depth of just under 10cm. It’s small and easy to carry in a backpack or handbag when you’re on the go.

It’s also easy to move with one hand, which is helpful if you’re trying to take it to the bathroom for a shower but already have your hands full with towels or shampoo. On top of that, it’s small enough to fit in tight spaces, like a narrow shelf, a toilet cistern, or that tiny sliver of your busy kitchen’s worktop that isn’t covered with dishes or cooking tools.

The LG XBOOM Go XG7QBK has a 30W woofer and a 10W tweeter on its single two-way channel. It has an IP67 rating, which means that it keeps out dust and water up to a depth of 1 metre for 30 minutes. This makes it great for use outside, whether by the pool, on the beach, or on a rainy Sunday.

The speaker can be charged with the USB-c cable that comes with it, but it doesn’t have a plug. This is a little inconvenient, but it is happening more and more often as time goes on. It charges pretty quickly and claims to have a battery life of 24 hours, but when I used it at full volume with the Sound Boost feature turned on, I only got about 16 hours.

You can connect the LG XBOOM Go XG7QBK to any Bluetooth device, but your phone is probably the most common. LG knows this and has built a speakerphone mode into the phone. It automatically switches from your music to your phone, so you don’t have to turn off the speaker or Bluetooth to take a call.

In addition to the USB-c port for charging, there is also a 3.5mm aux port, so if you want to use an aux cable, you can. It also has DC Output through a USB-A cable and can connect to multiple devices at once.

When it comes to sound quality, the LG XBOOM Go XG7QBK blows you away. Any sound that doesn’t get through the front of the speaker is directed to the diaphragms on the sides, where it either bounces back or creates a great bass.
