Helen-Skelton

Helen Skelton expressed her dissatisfaction with having problems with her electric car ten years after purchasing it.

Helen Skelton had a travel mishap on Monday and vented to her Instagram followers.

The 39-year-old presenter had been catching up with Strictly Come Dancing partner Gorka Marquez on her way home.

Helen was disappointed when her fancy electric car failed to arrive at her destination. As she sat in the stricken vehicle, she shared the bad news with her 452k followers on the social media platform.

Sitting in the dark, she posted a video with the caption, “I thought electric cars were the future,” along with mind-blown and angry emojis.

“I had an electric car over a decade ago – a Nissan Leaf,” she explained. It didn’t pan out. I could never charge it, and it was extremely inconvenient.”

“Over a decade later, an electric car – not working out,” she grumbled. I can’t charge it, and it’s not the first time…I’m stranded.” She then muttered angrily, “I thought this was the future?”

The actress admitted that she is dealing with “first world problems,” but added, “If anyone else is having more success with an electric car, I salute you.”

Gorka and Helen had a “quick coffee catch up” before the Strictly tour, with the professional dancer posting photos of their day on his Instagram.

While Helen is touring the country demonstrating her newfound abilities, the Spaniard will remain at home with partner Gemma Atkinson.

“Quick coffee catches up with this one today before she goes on tour with the rest of the Strictly Gang,” he captioned the post.

“Can’t wait to come and watch you dance at the Manchester show and be cheering you like a proud dad. Have a wonderful time, @helenskelton.”

Despite the rain, the pair appeared to have a good time together. In a video posted to his Stories, he said he ran into his former dance partner, who joked that she was stalking him.

Gorka and Helen narrowly missed lifting the Glitterball in front of a live audience on BBC last month.

Despite missing out on the grand prize, they were overjoyed to receive a perfect 40 out of 40 for a reprise of their Couple’s Choice routine to Mein Herr from Cabaret.
