Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday met Ambassador Paul W Jones, the US Charge d’Affairs to Pakistan on his “goodbye visit”, the military’s media wing said.

The Inter-Services Public Relations, in an announcement, said that Gen Bajwa expressed gratitude toward the minister for his administrations and commitments to Pakistan.

“[The] visiting dignitary valued Pakistan’s sure job for the Afghan Peace and Reconciliation process and guaranteeing harmony and soundness in the area,” the military’s media wing included.

Represetative Jones became US Chargé d’Affaires to Pakistan in September 2018.
