Dubai: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) faces significant blow on Tuesday as it has been banished from working trips to European nations for a time of a half year beginning July 1.
The European Union Air Safety Agency (EASA) reported to suspend the air activities license for a time of a half year, the national bearer’s representative said on Tuesday
“EASA has incidentally suspended PIA’s authorisation to work to the EU part states for a time of a half year viable July 1, 2020, with the option to bid against this choice,” a PIA articulation said.
The suspension will produce results on July 1, 2020 at 12 early afternoon. All PIA trips to Europe have been incidentally dropped. “The individuals who have a PIA booking can push the date ahead or get a discount,” the representative said. “We are in contact with the office and finding a way to address their anxiety,” he included.
The representative said that he trusted the suspension would end soon because of the means being taken by the legislature and the organization.
Suspension of trips to Europe is a major hit to the carrier and it will likewise hamper the repatriation procedure of abandoned Pakistanis.
