Fox’s admired enlivened arrangement The Simpsons has discharged an announcement on throwing for non-white characters that will influence the voices of such well known Black characters on the show as Carlton Carlson and Dr. Julius M. Hibbert.

“Pushing ahead, The Simpsons will no longer have white on-screen characters voice non-white characters,” the arrangement said Friday.

The Simpsons’ new strategy follows a declaration by Family Guy veteran Mike Henry prior on Friday that he will no longer voice the dark Cleveland Brown character on Fox’s long-running vivified hit. Prior this week, two white entertainers, Jenny Slate of Netflix’s energized arrangement Big Mouth, and Kristen Bell of Central Park on Apple TV+, said that they will quit voicing the blended race characters in those shows.

Furthermore, a few no frills comedies, including Scrubs and 30 Rock, have pulled scenes highlighting blackface from their spilling stages, and in the midst of a country managing dubious portrayals of race on TV and film.

On The Simpsons, Hank Azaria has been the voice of the dark animation character Carlton Carlson. He additionally was known for voicing Apu, a character which has for quite some time been censured for depicting a bigot portrayal of an Indian settler. Azaria reported in January that he would no longer voice the character.

Harry Shearer voices the dark character Dr. Julius M. Hibbert, one of a few characters he voices, including Mr. Consumes, Waylon Smithers, Principal Skinner, Ned Flanders, Reverend Lovejoy and Kent Brockman.
