Swedish atmosphere lobbyist Greta Thunberg has given a $100,000 prize she won from a Danish establishment to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for use against the COVID-19 pandemic, the world body said Thursday.
“Like the atmosphere emergency, the coronavirus pandemic is a youngster rights emergency,” Thunberg, 17, was cited as saying in the UNICEF explanation.
“It will influence all youngsters, presently and in the long haul, however powerless gatherings will be affected the most,” she included.
